These pictures were taken on May 13, 2011. Papi and I were spending a few treasured hours hugging and loving on you before you left the next day for Louisiana.
We will miss you so much, but we know we will get to see you when we go there and/or you come here.
I know that you are so young now that you don't really "know" me as your Mimi.
I know that you will grow and change a lot and we will miss some of your "growing" moments.
Papi and I will still love you just as much and will also pray for you and your mommy and daddy.
We know that this is not "the end". It is a new beginning for you and your family. You will be well loved there by my sister and her girls. You will love your cousins. They will spoil you like we would if you were still here.
So, no matter where you live.....always know that
YOUR MIMI LOVES YOU!!!!!
Awww, that makes me want to cry! She will always know how much you love her! I feel so torn between knowing that Jonathan will make a good living and Eichelle will be a stay-at-home mom,and the fact that because of that they will be away from you more. I love you and I think that Maci Jo couldn't ask for a better Mimi!!
ReplyDelete*SOBBING* as I read this. So very touching. And I have cried these tears as well when my first and second born grandchildren moved away from us.
ReplyDeleteBut I praise God for the technology we have access to that our grandparents did not- and that makes the miles that much smaller.
Praying for you, "Mimi" and Mark ( aka "Papi" )and for Jonathan, Eichelle and Maci Jo.
Oh I hope this post my comment........This was so sad and so sweet! The pictures are adorable too.
ReplyDeleteThis is a treasure of what you are feeling. When she grows up, it will be a blessing for her to read your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. But....just a good reason for more weekend trips to visit!
The pictures are beautiful!
